Newsletters

Newsletters are a broad category of publication with a large range of audiences and purposes.

The simplicity of the format means that the vast majority of newsletters are produced by departments or students from individual desktops. If this is the case with your newsletter, please refer to the University Graphic Style Guide to be sure you are using approved logos, fonts, and colors. Also take a look at our portfolio for examples of possible options for layout techniques.

If you need design advice or consultation, please call our art director, Margot Grisar, at 617-627-5048. She can also refer you to external printers and design vendors.

If your newsletter:
  • has a large internal or external audience
  • represents an entire department, division, school, or college
  • is being used for fundraising or alumni relations
we recommend you call for a consultation to ensure that it is most effectively portraying the University's visual identity and brand, and that it fits well with your school or division’s communications plan.
