RSS Feeds

RSS (which stands for Really Simple Syndication) is a method of publishing regularly updated web content so users can easily receive it in an automated fashion.

RSS feed files, which typically end in .xml file format, contain a portion or all of the content that is being syndicated from a website, whether it is a news story, a podcast or a blog entry. RSS feeds can be read using RSS feed readers, or aggregators (list of feed readers). By inputting the URL of a RSS feed into the reader, the user can subscribe to the feed and automatically receive updated content.

A list of RSS feeds currently maintained by Web Communications can be found here .
