The office of Web Communications approves all domain names using the tufts.edu stem (e.g., mysite.tufts.edu). As of January 1, 2009, we are no longer granting domains off of the www.tufts.edu domain. That means, www.tufts.edu/mysite is not an option, but mysite.tufts.edu might be an option (subject to approval).
While Web Communications does approve domain names, it does not provide web space for those names. A site should exist or web space should already be secured before a domain name is requested. We need to know where the domain will point before we can approve it.
Domain name requests take a minimum of 14 days to approve.
